Grilled Veggie Plate

Sometimes when you're deciding where to go out to eat, it's hard to find somewhere that is affordable and healthy. Taziki's is the type of place that makes you feel good after a meal, not bloated and gross. It's the type of healthy food that satisfies you- it's not just a plate of lettuce that keeps you full for about 5 minutes- it has wholesome and delicious ingredients that fills you up and keeps you satisfied for a long time.

The food at Taziki's fills you up so well because they focus on the Mediterranean Lifestyle in the way they prepare their food. If you have ever heard of the Mediterranean Diet, you know that it emphasizes oils, plant based foods, and fish and seafood. It is an extremely beneficial diet for your heart, brain, and cancer prevention. It has been shown that it reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, and cancer. Sounds pretty great, right? The best part about this diet is that you do not have to sacrifice flavor and calories to follow it. Just walk into one of Taziki's two locations and see for yourself!

Hummus

Signature Pasta (Available on Weekends)

Food I've Tried: Signature Pasta, Grilled Veggie Gyro, Lamb Gyro, Grilled Veggie Plate, Homemade Greek Lemon Chicken Soup. 

Cost: mostly less than $10/entree

Thoughts: My favorite menu item so far has been the Grilled Veggie Gyro, with Grilled Veggie Plate in close second. The potatoes, rice, and pasta salad are all great choices for a healthy side. Their Taziki sauce is some of the best I have ever had- I always ask for an extra cup, and their hummus is so smooth and flavorful. The Signature Pasta was really fresh and tasty, but was lacking in flavor a little bit. Finally, the Greek Lemon Chicken Soup left a lot to be desired, but I was still glad I tried it.
